Jeena Ann

Jeena Ann Kidambi is a PanchaVarna Folk Artist who specializes in creating Christian art that is inclusive of South Indian culture. She has presented her artwork in two solo art exhibitions at Ecclesia Clear Lake, a church in Galveston County, Texas, and The Rose Room Café in Webster, Massachusetts. She has also exhibited at a variety of group shows including at the MEDLI Conference in Las Vegas, NV, Make Noise Exhibit in Long Beach, CA, Worcester Arts, the Worcester Art Museum, and the Hartford Art School and has hosted public demonstrations at the Big E, a fair for all six New England states. Furthermore, The Catholic Free Press, the newspaper for the Diocese of Worcester, featured Jeena Ann and her PanchaVarna art on the front page on September 21, 2024. Her folk art won the Gold Key for painting in the 2025 Scholastic Art Competition in Connecticut, was amongst the top 10% of art submitted for the national Make Noise Competition 2025, and has been selected twice by Celebrating Art for publication. She was the featured student artist this past summer at the MEDLI Conference in Las Vegas, CA where she not only exhibited her art but spoke about where her art fits into Christian Art history.

In addition to her PanchaVarna art, Jeena Ann’s watercolor depiction of Mary as a Middle Eastern woman won the Best of Department and the Outstanding Youth Watercolor Award at the Big E. She has won numerous additional awards for other artwork, including a Silver Key in the 2026 Scholastic Art Competition for her painting supporting immigration rights. Jeena Ann has been commissioned for book covers and also illustrates education-related articles at duallanguageschools.org.

Jeena Ann takes her role as a change maker seriously even outside of her art, through her writing. She was quoted in the New York Times on Jan 1, 2024 and was published in the Hartford Courant on October 24, 2024. She won the Gold Key for Journalism in the Connecticut Scholastic Writing Competition.
